Alert Kingfisher Awarded Our 'Photo Of The Week'

This beautiful shot of a Kingfisher titled Alert Pose has deservedly won our ‘Photo of the Week’ award.

Rich in colour, this wonderful example of bird photography at its best captures the Kingfisher in an unusual pose. Bill Richmond tells us in his description that the bird was alert to the danger of a passing Kestrel, braced to escape if required.
