Introducing The Next Evolution Of Luminar Neo

Skylum, the company behind the award-winning photo editing software Luminar Neo, has announced an impressive update for its core product that will be released in the coming months. 

The cornerstone of this update is the introduction of even more AI technologies that speed-up workflow and help simplify the photo editing process. These include ways to remove unwanted objects, manipulate scenes and expand the canvas of a photo. 

Here’s a rundown of the new tools coming this Autumn:

• GenErase: This is billed as a ‘next-generation Erase tool’ that not only removes unwanted distractions from your images but also replaces those areas using content-aware tools. This feature preserves the integrity of your photos by intelligently filling in the gaps with textures and other elements to match the surrounding area. GenErase can remove objects like trash, street signs, vehicles and graffiti.
• SceneExpand: This tool enables users to extend the boundaries of their photos.
• SceneSwap: Replace specific elements (such as the sky or foreground) with AI-generated visuals that blend with the rest of the photo.
• Water Enhancer: Designed to enhance water features in aquatic scenes.
• Studio Light: A creative tool for portrait photographers who want to replicate lightning effects usually achieved in the studio.
• Neon & Glow: This tool will allow photographers to overcome challenges such as inadequate lighting conditions and blend neon elements into the composition.

Alongside the new features and tools, Skylum is also updating the software’s user interface, design and the way it’s navigated. 

The upgrades and new AI technologies will be available to monthly and annual Pro, Explore, and Ultimate plan subscribers. Studio Light will be added first to the software in the next release within a month, and the rest will be gradually incorporated over the following months this Autumn.
