Final Call For Entries To LCE Photographer Of The Year 2024 Competition
London Camera Exchange has announced that the final deadline for entries to its inaugural LCE Photographer of the Year competition is midnight on Wednesday 24 January 2024. The free-to-enter contest features 14 different categories and is open to photographers of all levels of experience.* In addition to the individual categories such as landscape, street and wildlife, there is also a ‘People’s Choice’ award, voted for by the public.
Entries can be submitted online or at any of LCE’s 26 retail stores around the UK. Store locations can be found here.
A £12,000 prize fund supported by major photographic brands including Canon, Nikon, OM System, Fujifilm, Panasonic and Sony, will be shared between the category winners, including an overall competition winning prize of £5,000 in LCE vouchers. The awards will be presented at a ceremony at The Photography & Video Show in March at the NEC, Birmingham. All shortlisted photographers will have their chosen images featured in a commemorative book and displayed at an exhibition at the entrance hall of the show.
The competition judges include Chris George, content director at Future Publishing, street photographer Peter Dench, journalist and SheClicks founder Angela Nicholson, and Nick Richens, chief executive at London Camera Exchange.
The LCE competition is open to photographers aged 18 and over. Entries are eligible from photographers worldwide, however, prizes will only be awarded to UK residents. Full terms and conditions, rules and FAQs can be found on the LCE competition website.
* Entry is limited to non-professional photographers. For the purpose of this competition, ‘professional’ would mean that photography is the entrant’s primary source of income.
